Henry Miller said, “The Aim of Life is to Live, and to Live means to be Aware, Joyously, Drunkenly, Serenely, Divinely Aware. ”To be in awe of life is living in the awareness of all it has to offer, all while realizing that much of life will never be fully understood.

We create our realities based on our perceptions that were formed in childhood. Once we begin to see that we are an accumulation of experiences we get to rewrite the past with present time awareness. This takes time though. Our bodies have been formatted on a cellular level to take in the past information and store it as an operating unit. If we never make contact with our hard-drive, so to speak, it will keep us running on automatic pilot. Our behavior will run us. We will come to believe this is who we are because we show up in the same body doing the same things day in and day out. Our actions may look different from one day to the next depending on how we animate on a particular day, but the behavior will be coming from deep programming based on past survival mechanisms. This was necessary as a young person in order to establish a sense of safety in the familiar. However, when we continue to act and behave from the perception of a child, our adult self gets distorted.

This can be the cause of numbing behavior through drugs, alcohol, distractions of any kind, workaholism, anger, rage– the list can go on. While the characters in our life may change, the behavior rarely does, UNLESS one turns towards themselves and begins to get curious and lean into that which no longer feels congruent. When this occurs the reward is liberation from that which has kept us in the mind of a child while inhabiting an adult body.

It is not for the faint of heart, but it is possible for every human being to lean in, as it is in our makeup to Become all that we are meant to be. To know the truth of who we are. The road may be long in learning to discern who is running the show, your child self or your adult self. Even upon discovering your True Nature, it becomes mercurial, fluid, and yet has an element of containment.

The ego self will show up in so many different aspects of life and is usually, if not always, coming from the original lens that was established when it came to defining what safety as a child needed to look like. There are many layers within this conditioning. While I have a much better handle on my triggers that are based in childhood perceptions, I now find myself laughing when I see them rear their frightened mask.

I have found so much healing and growth and the ability to experience true joy through leaning into the unknown.   Because of the way I have always seen and lived life, with a curious mind and a penchant for awareness, (some would say common sense or emotional intelligence), I have realized my purpose is to help others by offering clarity where confusion may lie or calmness to places of anxiety.

Our work heals us. Clarity and calmness is what I needed as a child. I’ve learned to find it within, it’s now my job to share it.

If you are looking for clarity and calmness from a state of being confused, stuck or anxious I would like to offer you a Free 30-minute Clarity Call.

Let’s work together so that I may help guide you back to the Truth of Who You Are.
